For attached garages with bedrooms above or adjacent, belt drive is worth it - substantially quieter, almost vibration-free. Chain drive is fine for detached garages and shops where noise is not a priority and budget is.
MyQ lets you confirm the door is closed from anywhere, get an alert if it’s been open for X minutes, and grant time-limited access for cleaners or deliveries.

All residential openers we install do - California law (SB 969) has required battery backup on new residential openers since July 1, 2019, so the door still works during power outages. LiftMaster builds this into their current models.
Often yes. LiftMaster sells smart hubs that retrofit older openers to MyQ. If your opener is older than ~2005, replacement is usually the better call.
Most often no. New openers carry security technology that only allows updated remotes and keypads to be programmed to your new opener. We provide and program a new set of remotes and optional keypads during installation.
